Břetislav Sobek

My name is Bretislav Sobek. I am curious and don’t understand new things. That is the reason why I ask, I write it down and post it.

I have written hundreds of emails to newspaper’s editorial offices. They have answered me once. They wrote me that if I wanted to write I should study journalism including a link to the right faculty. They said it was supposed to be the right place for me.

Others answered with a suspicion that I was a PR manager of a political party. I just wanted to inform my fellow citizens about what I think was important to them.

I applied for Journalists unions. They didn’t accept me and weren’t able to explain me why. The same went for another ten candidates.

And that’s the reason why I decided to set up my own newspaper and named myself a chief editor.

The photo was created in a cooperation with ZŠ Bratrství. The pupils in the photo helped me to draw the title on the whiteboard.

The article is about contemporary school education and its problems. It introduces results of experimental education which was done in North Macedonia. It unfolds a new form of education and a curriculum for Generation Z. It describes how Generation Z communicates and works.

Endlessly long queue

I also needed to buy a train ticket but I didn’t have to wait in the queue. Did the people know they didn’t have to wait? Did they want to have a chat? Or perhaps they didn’t think about it at all and were cool. What do you think?

Firefighters at work

Photo collection Firefighters at work. One of the first group of firefighters existed in Ancient Rome. They consisted of around 500 slaves. Then people fought fire without any organized fire brigades. The tradition of firefighters emerged at the beginning of 19th century again.
