His father was at a pub in 1982. It had been five years after Charter 77 and a short time after Leonid Brezhnev deceased (1906-1982). He was as a guest at the pub. Another person came over and asked the waiter:
- Guest: „Hello, do you have a goulash?“
- Waiter: „Yes, we do.“
- Guest: „And is it spicy?“
- Waiter: „It is so spicy that if Brezhnev ate it,
he would rise from the dead.”
Somebody who was also sitting in the pub reported the waiter to the Public Security (a name for Police during the communism). The waiter spent 6 months in prison.
He studied musical conservatoire and is a violin teacher. Somebody has absolute musical hearing. It means that they can determine the exact tone of all musical instruments. Somebody has relative musical hearing. They can determine the exact tone of one musical instrument. And who has standard musical hearing? The one who can recognize that one tone is either higher or lower than another one.
People who have a hard time keeping a rhythm should buy a metronome and exercise with it until they improve.
Some children have a musical talent. However the talent is useless unless they don’t exercise everyday. Even a not-talented person outperforms a lazy talented one.
He said that primary school is good for children to find subjects which they are good at and are talented at. The children should devote their efforts to those subjects they are good at.
