Pristav 18600 is a small patch of green near Vltava. It is possible to buy beer, have a barbecue or to meet with friends there. Concerts, lectures and other cultural events take place there (check it here).
What I found interesting, based on the information on their website, is that the whole space was built on the grounds of a former railway shunting yard. It is true I found the place somehow different or as a streak of abandoned land in the centre of Prague. However, I didn’t spot any left rails there.
I did an interview with a tram driver from Brno a long time ago. He said: “You don’t run for a tram. You wait for a tram.”
I felt similar while waiting for buying a glass of beer at Pristav. Unfortunately, there was no timetable of departures so I didn’t know when I would get my beer exactly. Well, Another land, another way. In Moravia, beer waits for customers. In Prague, a customer waits for the beer.
